and it was the day after Boxing Day

Off to Sharm el Sheik

Time for a Red Sea cruise. First stop Sharm.

Sail away that night to Jordan - Aqaba to be precise. Very friendly people - chatty and smiling. We didn't do the Dead Sea trip. We didn't do the Petra trip. Next time we probably will do Petra as the view of everyone that went led us to believe that we had missed out!

A massive, absolutely massive Jordanian flag - Can be seen from Saudi, Israel and Egypt - so they say!

Used the shuttle bus for a trip into Jordan.

Who wouldn't be riding a horse around the sunbeds? Very narrow beach too - but well populated.

Back on board and off on the longest part of the cruise - to the other spur of the Red Sea and Egypt.
Docked in Safarga - check this
Lots of people needed to go to Cairo - we didn't!

Captain's night, New Years Eve and then New Years Day - all came at once! Lots of on deck celebrations for New Years Eve, including a piper, balloons (cue one of the dancers standing in the swimming pool trying to control hundreds of balloons - unsuccessfully).

New Years Eve and the excitement mounts!

New Year's Day and our first trip - from Hurghada port to the glass bottom boats - a cruise around the coral reef - absolutely stunning. Could have stayed all day.

It became a case of who was watching who! Were we in the fishbowl for a change?

Pretending to be good recyclers! Nothing in a single bin!
